Now that the dust of the first months of this year has settled, I’m ready to declare my absolute faves Makeup Trends of 2022.

With so many beauty authorities you get these days on the internet and social media, it’s easy to get dizzy with sooo many makeup trends. Some even seem to contradict each other, as in the case of skinny and thick brows.

So I will dedicate this post to adding my two cents on this topic that, by the way, I love.

But to get down to business, first, I want to make something clear. Trends (be it fashion, beauty, etc.) exists to inspire and guide us, not enslave us.

Therefore, under no circumstances should you be a blind consumer of trends. On the contrary, use them in your favor and adapt them to your style, to whatever makes you feel more comfortable.

Eyebrows

Full and fluffy brows

The full and fluffy brows are still the preferred option of the masses this 2022. Of course, the most valuable recommendation here is to choose the eyebrow shape that best suits the shape of your face. 

However, there seems to be a consensus that thick brows (including the fluffy laminated brows trend) – bring youth to the face and make it look smaller.

Alternative: Thin brows

With the resurgence of 90s looks (Y2K aesthetics), thin brows want to return to the fore. 

I do not doubt that some women will rocket this type of brow much better than the thicker version. 

However, there is still a long way to go in 2022, so it remains to be seen how well received this trend will be.

This trend will continue because it does the trick of instantly creating fuller, more pouty lips. What do you have to do? Line your lips with a dark lip liner, then apply a layer of your favorite nude lipstick or lip balm. As simple as that!
